Raipur: NCC cadets of Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology (SSIPMT), Raipur, participated in a ten-day adventure training programme held from 28 September to 7 October 2026. The programme focused on enhancing physical endurance, self-confidence, leadership, teamwork, and outdoor survival skills through a variety of adventure activities.


The training began with an opening address, equipment distribution, a museum visit, and an introduction to sport climbing. During the programme, cadets learned tent pitching, rope handling, knot tying, first aid, mountain safety rules, route mapping, and acclimatization techniques.

The subsequent days included sport climbing, zip-lining, quick jump activities, point-to-point marches, and treks to Oyali, Nagni Devi Temple, Bimleshwar Temple, Varunawat Top, and Tekla. Cadets also practised rock climbing, anchoring, belaying, and rappelling while developing their teamwork and camp hygiene skills.



The programme further included mountain stream crossing, a lecture on bus craft, CPR training, and preparation for a night march from Tekla to NIM. These activities provided cadets with valuable practical experience in adventure training, emergency response, and outdoor safety.
The nine-day programme offered an enriching learning experience, encouraging cadets to develop courage, resilience, discipline, and a spirit of adventure.
