The event brought together 84 participants and provided a platform for students to express ideas through creative digital designs and effective visual communication.
The two-hour competition commenced at 10:00 AM and encouraged students to combine creativity, digital tools and content presentation to develop visually engaging posters. The initiative aimed to strengthen students’ digital design abilities while promoting creative expression alongside technical education.
The event was coordinated by Mr. Deepak Rao Khadatkar and Mr. Devbrat Sahu, Assistant Professors in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Their guidance supported participants throughout the competition and contributed to the smooth conduct of the programme.
Students Explore Digital Design and Visual Communication
During the competition, participants used Canva and other digital design tools to create posters by combining text, images, colour schemes and typography. The activity encouraged students to explore how visual elements can be organised to communicate ideas clearly and attractively.

Participants had an opportunity to experiment with digital design templates and develop their understanding of layout, visual hierarchy and presentation. The competition also highlighted the importance of selecting suitable images, arranging content effectively and maintaining a balance between creativity and readability.
By working with digital design tools, students gained practical exposure to techniques that can be applied to academic presentations, project communication, awareness campaigns and other professional activities.
Encouraging Creativity Through Healthy Competition
The event featured cash prizes to recognise outstanding creative efforts. The prize structure included ₹3,000 for first place and ₹2,000 for second place, motivating students to participate enthusiastically and demonstrate their design skills.
Beyond the competitive element, the programme encouraged students to approach communication creatively and consider how thoughtful design can make information more engaging and accessible.
The activity also provided an opportunity to develop content organisation, aesthetic awareness, attention to detail and presentation skills—competencies that complement students’ technical education.
