Raipur, August 19, 2026: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management & Technology (SSIPMT), Raipur, successfully organised Project Expo 2026 on August 19, 2026, at the Research Lab, First Floor, Academic Block, SSIPMT. The event was conducted in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the SSIPMT IEEE Student Branch under the coordination of Dr. Suman Kumar Swarnkar, Associate Professor, Department of CSE.

Held under the theme “Ideas • Innovation • Impact” and the tagline “Innovate Today, Inspire Tomorrow,” the six-hour offline competition provided students with a platform to present their technical projects, demonstrate creativity and apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges. A total of 41 teams participated in the expo, showcasing projects across a range of emerging technology and application domains.
Students Showcase Projects Across Emerging Technology Domains
Project Expo 2026 encouraged participants to transform innovative ideas into practical and impactful solutions. The projects covered diverse areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology, Agriculture, Smart Cities, Smart Education, Disaster Management, Cybersecurity, and Digital Heritage and Indian Culture.

Each team comprised two to four students and was required to present its project through a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 10 slides. Teams were also required to maintain a GitHub repository for their projects, promoting systematic documentation, collaborative software development and practical exposure to industry-relevant practices.
The participating teams demonstrated their projects and explained their objectives, methodologies, technologies, implementation approaches and potential real-world applications. The presentations reflected students’ efforts to connect theoretical learning with practical problem-solving.
Expert Evaluation and Constructive Feedback
The projects were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising Dr. Anil Kumar Sahu, Mr. Sunil Dewangan, Head of the Department of Information Technology, Mr. Akash Jain, Idea Lab Coordinator at SSIPMT, Raipur, and Mr. Prakash Sharma.

The evaluation considered several parameters, including innovation, technical implementation, relevance, presentation quality, problem-solving approach and practical impact. The judges provided constructive feedback and suggestions to help students refine their ideas and strengthen their projects.
The institute extended its sincere gratitude to the chief guest, Mr. Nitin Awasthi, Industry Expert and R&D Specialist from Bengaluru, Karnataka, for his valuable presence, insightful guidance and encouragement to the participating students.
The event was also supported by the guidance and encouragement of Dr. Alok Jain, Principal; Dr. Naveen Jain, Board of Governors (BoG) Member and IQAC Coordinator; and Dr. Anand Tamrakar, Head of the Department of CSE.
Project Expo 2026 Winners Announced
The competition recognised the outstanding efforts of the top three teams for their project presentations and technical work.
- First Prize – Team ROBOTX: Smriti Singh — Rs. 3,000
- Second Prize – Team NESUXMIND: Shriya Sirmour — Rs. 2,000
- Third Prize – Team HXCKFINITY: Raunak Khan — Rs. 1,000
The prize distribution recognised the achievements of the winning teams and encouraged students to continue exploring innovative ideas and developing practical technological solutions.

Encouraging Research, Teamwork and Practical Learning
Project Expo 2026 aimed to nurture creativity, research-oriented thinking, technical competence, teamwork and the effective application of knowledge. The event offered students an opportunity to strengthen their project development, analytical, communication and presentation skills while receiving expert feedback.
Maintaining GitHub repositories and demonstrating working project concepts also encouraged participants to develop stronger technical portfolios and gain experience in documenting and presenting their work professionally.
By bringing students and expert evaluators together, the expo promoted an environment of peer learning, collaboration and technological exploration. It reinforced the importance of moving beyond theoretical understanding to develop solutions that can address contemporary technological and societal needs.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering expressed its appreciation to the judges, faculty members, participating students, project teams and student volunteers for their contributions to the successful organisation of Project Expo 2026.
The event concluded as a platform for celebrating student innovation and encouraging future technology-driven initiatives at SSIPMT Raipur.
