Bhilai, August 18, 2026: Bhilai Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sector IX, Bhilai, organised the second day of its one-week offline Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Present Scenario” on August 18, 2026. The programme featured informative technical sessions and practical discussions on Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and the applications of emerging AI tools.
Dr. Anand Tamrakar, Head and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SSIPMT Raipur, participated in the FDP as a Subject Expert and delivered the first technical session on “Intelligent Analysis Using Data Mining.”

During his session, Dr. Anand Tamrakar provided participants with an overview of Data Mining and its significance in the present digital era. He explained how large volumes of data can be collected, processed and analysed to extract meaningful and actionable information.

Dr. Tamrakar highlighted the role of Data Mining in identifying patterns, trends, relationships and hidden insights from complex datasets. He also discussed various Data Mining techniques and their applications across different domains.
The session helped participants understand how intelligent analysis of data can support modern decision-making systems and contribute to the effective use of data-driven technologies.
FDP Promotes AI Awareness Among Faculty Members
The Faculty Development Programme aims to enhance awareness and understanding of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies among educators. The FDP is being conducted under the guidance and leadership of Mrs. Pratibha Chhaya Claudius, Principal, Bhilai Mahila Mahavidyalaya. Her emphasis on academic excellence, technological awareness and innovation has encouraged faculty members to continuously update their knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
The successful conduct of the programme was supported by Dr. Bhavana Pandey, FDP Coordinator, along with the Co-Coordinator. Their efforts in coordinating with resource persons, organising technical sessions and facilitating participant engagement contributed to the smooth execution of the programme.
