“Say No to Ragging: Awareness, Prevention and Creating a Safe Campus”
Raipur, August 18, 2026: Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology (SSIPMT), Raipur, in association with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Session on August 18 to create awareness among students about ragging and promote a safe, respectful and inclusive campus environment.
The session was conducted by Dr. Supriya Biswas, Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, SSIPMT Raipur. She sensitized students about the harmful physical, psychological and social impact of ragging and highlighted the importance of mutual respect, discipline, dignity and responsible behavior.
During the programme, students actively participated in various awareness activities, including creative anti-ragging poster presentations. Through their posters and messages, students strongly expressed their opposition to ragging, bullying and discrimination.
The interactive session encouraged students to understand their responsibilities in preventing ragging and to work collectively towards maintaining a safe, supportive and welcoming campus for everyone.
The programme concluded with a strong message that ragging has no place in an educational institution and that every student has a role to play in building a campus based on respect, equality, dignity and mutual support.
