Raipur, August 20, 2026: Jagadguru Shankaracharya College of Nursing (JSCN), Raipur, Chhattisgarh, organised a One-Day Naturopathy Awareness Session on August 20, 2026, for B.Sc. Nursing students and faculty members. The session, themed “Return to Nature, Restore Your Health,” focused on naturopathy, healthy lifestyle practices, preventive healthcare and holistic well-being.
The programme was graced by the presence of Madam Suman Tripathi, Director, Jagadguru Shankaracharya College of Nursing, whose encouragement and vision added significance to the event.
The session was conducted by Dr. Prashant Singh from Shri Tattavaparay, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, who shared his knowledge and practical insights into naturopathy and natural approaches to maintaining health.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to Dr. Prashant Singh, followed by his formal introduction by the Director of the College. During his interaction with the gathering, Dr. Singh emphasised the importance of understanding the human body as an integrated system rather than focusing only on individual illnesses or symptoms.

Five Elements of Nature Highlighted
A key focus of the session was the traditional concept of the five fundamental elements of nature — Prithvi (Earth), Jal (Water), Vaayu (Air), Agni (Fire) and Akaash (Space). Dr. Singh explained their traditional significance in relation to balance and well-being and discussed the importance of maintaining harmony with natural principles.
The session also highlighted the body’s natural capacity for healing and encouraged students to adopt a holistic approach towards health. Lifestyle, nutrition, adequate rest, quality sleep, daily routines and mindful living were among the major topics discussed.

Importance of Healthy Daily Habits
Dr. Singh particularly discussed how sleep patterns, meal timings, food choices and the quantity of food consumed can influence overall well-being. He encouraged participants to maintain discipline in their daily routines and pay attention to their body’s signals instead of following unhealthy lifestyle patterns.

Interactive Naturopathy Activities
The programme went beyond theoretical learning and provided students and faculty members with an opportunity to experience complementary approaches associated with naturopathy.
Participants were personally assessed and guided by Dr. Prashant Singh through questionnaires and interactive demonstrations involving colour therapy, magnet therapy and acupressure. He also addressed individual queries and interacted with participants throughout the session, making the programme informative, engaging and experiential.
The active participation of JSCN faculty and staff further enhanced the significance of the programme. The session served as an educational opportunity for nursing students while also creating awareness among the wider college community about healthy lifestyle practices and holistic approaches to well-being.
The One-Day Naturopathy Awareness Session concluded with an emphasis on the importance of preventive health, mindful living and developing a balanced relationship with nature as part of a healthy lifestyle.
