Raipur, August 21, 2026: The Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC), SSIPMT Raipur, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day with an engaging session titled “Spark to Profit: Student Startup Roadmap – Turn Your Idea into a Real Business!”
The session aimed to encourage students to explore entrepreneurship as a career opportunity and understand the practical steps involved in transforming innovative ideas into sustainable businesses.
The programme featured Komal Vyas Sharma, Founder, InnovEdas EdTech Pvt. Ltd., and Arif Khan, Co-Founder, InnovEdas EdTech Pvt. Ltd., who shared valuable insights from their entrepreneurial journeys and interacted with students on various aspects of startup development.
Komal Vyas Sharma discussed career opportunities in entrepreneurship, startup development and the process of converting an idea into a viable business. She also highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in innovation, market research, automation, marketing and customer engagement.
As part of the interactive session, students were encouraged to identify real-life problems and develop potential startup ideas. The activity helped participants understand how everyday challenges can become opportunities for innovation and business creation.
Arif Khan shared practical experiences from his entrepreneurial journey and highlighted the importance of customer feedback, adaptability, teamwork and persistence in building a successful startup. He also explained the importance of having the right co-founder, stressing the need for complementary skills, clearly defined responsibilities and mutual trust.
The speakers further discussed important strategies for scaling a startup, including idea validation, understanding customer requirements, product improvement, team building, customer acquisition and gradual business expansion.
The session provided students with practical insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem and encouraged them to think beyond conventional career paths. It reinforced the importance of innovation, problem-solving and a business-oriented approach in creating future opportunities.
