The Department of Training & Placement, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Studies (SSIPS), Raipur, organised a one-day workshop on *“Incubation Opportunities for Students”* on 13 August 2026 (Thursday).
The workshop was conducted at the Mini-Auditorium, SSIPS, Raipur, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The session aimed to create awareness among students about startup incubation opportunities, entrepreneurship development, and the support available for transforming innovative ideas into practical business ventures.
The resource person for the workshop was *CS Mahima Singh, TPO Head, SSIPS*, who guided students on the importance of incubation opportunities and their role in encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional development.
The workshop focused on helping students understand the concept of startup incubation and its significance in nurturing entrepreneurial ideas. It highlighted how students can explore business opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and take initial steps towards establishing their own ventures.
The session also provided a platform for students to learn about the importance of institutional support, guidance, mentorship, and a structured environment in developing entrepreneurial skills. Such initiatives encourage students to think creatively, identify potential business opportunities, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset alongside their academic learning.
The workshop was organised as part of the institute’s efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and student development through the collaborative initiatives of the Department of Training & Placement, IIC, and IQAC.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to gain awareness of incubation-related opportunities and understand the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in their future careers. It complemented classroom learning by introducing students to concepts that can help them explore self-employment, startup development, and professional growth.
